COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH PLAN • PENSION PLAN • PAID HOLIDAYS/VACATIONS • PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES • FREE TRANSPORTATION PASS CLEANER / MAINTAINER’S HELPER Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority (MaBSTOA) & MTA Bus Company EXAM NO: 3001 FILING PERIOD: 11/4/09 – 11/24/09 STARTING SALARY: $13.61 per hour for a 40-hour work week, with increments to $22.8125 per hour after three years plus night and weekend differentials. JOB DESCRIPTION: Clean, sweep and wash buses, depots, garages, shops and other MaBSTOA or MTA Bus Company facilities; and perform related work. Maintainer’s Helpers assist in the maintenance, installation, inspection, testing, alteration and repair of bus and other electromechanical equipment REQUIREMENTS: Two years of experience performing or assisting in the inspection, installation, alteration, maintenance, testing or repair of bus, truck, aircraft or other automotive mechanical components. Graduation from a recognized trade /technical school is also acceptable. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE IN AUTOMOTIVE MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION.
